Built from advanced Outtex® 4000 Select polyester, the fabric uses a high frequency thread interlacing weave for enhanced strength and durability. It delivers a strong 4000 mm hydrostatic head, features PU taped seams for leak free protection, and provides UPF 30+ UV protection to help reduce sun exposure. A water and dirt repellent surface treatment supports easier cleaning, the material is fire retardant to ISO5912, and it is finished with PFAS Free water repellency.
Attachment is fast and secure thanks to heavy duty Outwell zips. The set is designed to fit popular wind out awning systems from Thule, Fiamma and Dometic, typically fitted to vehicles such as VW T5, T6, T6.1 and T7, Mercedes-Benz W639/W447 and many similar campervans. Each panel can be partially or fully rolled up and secured with toggles, giving flexible control over airflow and access. The rear panel is intentionally shorter than the front panel to help provide easier use of a sliding door. You can also adjust the angle away from the vehicle or awning to suit your pitch layout and the weather.

Which vehicles does the Outwell Sand Van Tailgate Awning fit?
It is designed for VW T5/T6/T6.1 and Mercedes-Benz W639/W447 models with a rear tailgate configuration only, including Multivan, Caravelle, Transporter, California, V-Class, Vito and Marco Polo.
Is it compatible with rear barn door vehicles?
No. This model is only compatible with tailgate versions of the vehicles listed. It is not compatible with rear barn door versions.
What is Outtex® 3000 Select Care fabric?
It is a recycled polyester flysheet with a high frequency thread interlacing weave for increased strength, PU taped seams for leak free performance, water and dirt repellent treatment, UPF 30+ UV protection and a 3000 mm hydrostatic head.

Does the main door work as a canopy?
Yes. The main door can be used as a canopy to create extra sheltered space. Please note that upright poles are not included.
